This is a decorative cover. It goes over your existing switch or socket frame and does not replace any part that protects you from electricity. Do not open the switch or socket to fit it. Do not cover the holes of a socket or stop a plug from going fully in. Keep it away from dimmers or smart switches that feel warm, and from bathrooms near water. Print it in PETG or ASA. GRDON makes no claim of electrical or fire certification.

Print face down in PETG, 0.2 mm layers, no supports. The settings are saved inside the 3MF.

How to fit it

  1. Measure, or pick your fitting

    Choose your switch or socket in the list. If it is not there, choose "Measure your own" and measure the frame on the wall: width, height, and depth from the wall to the front of the frame. Count the square modules inside it and measure one.

  2. Print the fit test

    Download the fit test: three thin rings with one, two and three tabs. Each is a little looser than the last. Push each onto your frame and keep the one that goes on with a firm push and does not wobble. Choose its gap under "Fit". For a row, test on a single frame of the same range.

  3. Print the cover

    Print it face down in PETG, 0.2 mm layers, no supports. Clean the plate first: the first layers are the front you will see. A cover wider than the printer bed comes in two parts that slide together at a dovetail.

  4. Push it on

    Hold it square to the frame and push it straight on until it sits flat; it stops 1 to 2 mm from the wall. No tools, nothing to open: it only touches the plastic frame. To take it off, pull it straight out by its sides.

  5. Check the plug

    Push a plug fully into every socket and try your chargers. If anything stops a plug from going all the way in, take the cover off and do not use it there.
